What‘s your nicest memory of Braunschweig and do you have a favorite place?

Having a barbecue in the Prinzenpark after the summer break and enjoying a carefree time together with friends.

Reasons why the TU Braunschweig is a great place to study:

Recognized university with many study options; plus countless extracurricular organizations and opportunities to try things out and make friends. Very good city size for studying: All the important places are within cycling distance and yet there is a lot on offer: Parks, cafés, bars, clubs, etc.

Describe the time of your studies in 3 words:

  • Independence

  • Further development

  • Fun

Which contents of your studies can you still use in your career today?

The methodological skills are probably still the most useful for me today. Being able to quickly familiarize myself with topics and read, link and apply different sources is important every week. In addition, my involvement in the Enactus student initiative and my work at the Institute of Automotive Engineering have taught me how to present and explain complex issues in a way that everyone can understand. This is the basis for interdisciplinary collaboration in companies.

Are you still in touch with former fellow students? Do you see each other and if so, how often?

Yes.

What advice would you give current students for their personal career planning?

  1. Even if it is sometimes difficult, network. Opportunities often arise when you share your career ideas with lots of people.
  2. Don't let others influence you too much. Careers are so individual, only you can weigh up all your interests.
  3. Don't be afraid of exaggerated job descriptions! You can learn almost anything.

In one sentence - In the future, I wish the TU Braunschweig:

More internationalization.
