What‘s your nicest memory of Braunschweig and do you have a favorite place?

Working in and with the Mechanical Engineering student council, more precisely the "Fachschaftsrat" of Faculty 4. My favourite places are the Grotrian and the C³.

Reasons why the TU Braunschweig is a great place to study:

The faculty's application-orientated research and urban life in green Braunschweig.

Describe the time of your studies in 3 words:

  • Chemistry
  • Maths
  • Beer

Which contents of your studies can you still use in your career today?

The contents of the ICTV and IPAT lectures, in particular, are a recurring basis for many decisions in the process optimisation and plant design profession.

Are you still in touch with former fellow students? Do you see each other and if so, how often?

Yes, once a month in a pub to talk about what's going on with everyone.

What advice would you give current students for their personal career planning?

  1. Don't focus too much on technical expertise, rather build a broad knowledge base.
  2. Do voluntary work.
  3. Enjoy your studies.

In one sentence - In the future I wish the TU Braunschweig:

Continue to employ professors with industry experience.

My Braunschweig alma mater and its students are welcome to contact me for:

  • Guest talks and professional expertise on active ingredient production, pharmaceutical industry, GMP, plant engineering

  • Information about my professional field and tasks

  • Sharing experience in connection with application processes and career start

  • Role as TU Braunschweig "ambassador"
