What‘s your nicest memory of Braunschweig and do you have a favorite place?

I have countless fond memories of my studies in Braunschweig with many great fellow students, but Thursday evenings on the Braunschweig party mile stand out.

Reasons why the TU Braunschweig is a great place to study:

It's a place where you are challenged and prepared for your entire professional and personal life.

Describe the time of your studies in 3 words:

  • Demanding
  • Exciting
  • Instructive

Which contents of your studies can you still use in your career today?

Many technical topics, but especially the methodology of how to solve complex topics and problems in an organised and structured way. In terms of character, you learn perseverance and fighting spirit in Braunschweig.

Are you still in touch with former fellow students? Do you see each other and if so, how often?

Privately, we meet up regularly in Braunschweig or at our current places of residence. Professionally, one keeps running into "Braunschweiger" of different ages time and again.

What advice would you give current students for their personal career planning?

  1. Don't let it get you down.
  2. Practice makes perfect.
  3. Do as many internships as possible and work as a student assistant in the departments.

In one sentence - In the future I wish the TU Braunschweig:

Lots of great, ambitious students who are changing the world with their expertise and knowledge.

My Braunschweig alma mater and its students are welcome to contact me for:

  • Professional expertise on underground construction, sewer construction, road construction, cable line construction, specialised underground construction.

  • Information about my professional field and tasks

  • Sharing experience in connection with application processes and career start
