What‘s your nicest memory of Braunschweig and do you have a favorite place?

The excellent support and nice selection options in the degree programme - not to mention the university's wonderful partner institutions abroad!

Reasons why the TU Braunschweig is a great place to study:

A traditional and renowned Technical University that doesn't only look good on paper, but also during your studies.

Describe the time of your studies in 3 words:

  • Educative
  • Full of experience
  • Plenty of sports

Which contents of your studies can you still use in your career today?

Technical understanding from lectures and my time as a student assistant often helps me, as it is more difficult to build this up during the job compared to economic or methodological topics.

Are you still in touch with former fellow students? Do you see each other and if so, how often?

Yes, some of my fellow students have become very good friends and we are in regular contact although thousands of kilometres apart.

What advice would you give current students for their personal career planning?

  1. Get to know different companies in various internships - reflect honestly on what you like and what you don't like.
  2. Get experience abroad - either at a university or through an internship.
  3. Work as a student assistant, working student or in student initiatives during the semesters.

In one sentence - In the future I wish the TU Braunschweig:

... a good preservation of the beautiful old buildings as well as many clever and diverse students who continue to represent our university well.
