SDGs is the abbreviation for the 17 Sustainable Development Goals - these are goals for sustainable development that were formulated by the United Nations in 2015. They call for global sustainable development on an economic, social and ecological level by 2030.
We at TU Braunschweig also have a responsibility to contribute to global justice and sustainable development for present and future generations. In order to anchor the goals at the university and to generate attention for them, the Green Office has launched the SDG Sponsorship Program. The program involves one-year sponsorships for students and staff who are involved with the goals in research, teaching or studies.
Dr. Christian Weckenborg has taken on the sponsorship for SDG 12, "Sustainable Consumption and Production" and talked about it with the TU Green Office. You can find the interview here.
