The Junior Research Group "Urban Flows and Production" is dedicated to the research of value creation in urban spaces. Here, an interdisciplinary research approach is pursued that focuses on the integration of urban factories into urban environments on the background of sustainable production technologies. In examining the interrelationships between urban environments and urban factories, particular attention is paid to the material and immaterial exchange relationships (English: flows). The Junior Research Group uses the findings to establish guidelines for holistic planning of urban value creation.
The Junior Research Group is financed by central funds of the TU Braunschweig and was initiated from the research focus "Future City".
