The Council of Scientific Staff (RWM) is a permanent association with no connection to political parties or trade unions. The RWM represents the scientific staff, i.e. all doctoral students, postdocs and permanent employees from all faculties.
RWM participates in the university's political development from the perspective of scientific staff. We are not only critical observers, but also actively contribute to university policy with feedback, initiatives and ideas. In addition, the RWM supports all scientific staff as an advisor and, if necessary, brings problems to the relevant committees.
RWM appoints representatives to the various university committees, boards and working groups. The RWM meets once a month to discuss current university policy issues and to pass on the current status of the committees, boards and working groups. The RWM thus bundles and distributes all important information among interested scientific staff. Additional meetings are also held to discuss important and general topics (duration of employment contracts, strategic development of the university, etc.).
All scientific staff can participate in RWM and are invited to attend our monthly meetings. No one is obliged to take an active role in committees, boards or working groups. Attending meetings and passing on information to colleagues outside RWM helps to ensure that as many staff as possible are informed about university policy issues.
