Course content

The students are familiar with the use of ordinary differential equations for the description of engineering applications. They know methods to determine the quantitative and qualitative solution behaviour like the concepts of the fundamental solution, Green function and variational formulation.

Modelling with partial differential equations, continuity equation, heat equation, wave equation, elastic deformation, fundamental solution, Green function, energy functional and variational formulation, relation to functional analysis like representation in eigen forms
