Neuronal Cell Biology (Bio-ZB 21)

Course Content

In course 1 Neuronal Cell Biology the following content will be taught:

  • characterization of development-dependent localization of neuronal proteins by fluorescent immunohistochemistry
  • fluorescence microscopy analysis of neurotrophin function in dendritic complexity in developing and mature neuronal cultures
  • comparative western blot analysis of the development-dependent expression of neuronal proteins
  • tissue-specific and cell cycle-regulated phosphorylation pattern of the Tau protein by immunoblot analysis
  • PCR-based characterization of Tau isoform expression in the mouse brain
